If you were up late watching the Bucs last night, you probably wondered (or at least I did): Where is the always dangerous .200 hitting cleanup hitter, Garrett Jones?Apparently, in the hospital after choking on a piece of food as opposed to his normal choking with runners in scoring position.
The good news is that he is perfectly fine and was back in the lineup today. And with two doubles today, he successfully raised his struggling batting average to .221. Maybe a brush with death by food is what his season needed.
At least Anthony can now say he has something in common with a major leaguer. He once had a chicken bone stuck in his throat and had to be rushed to the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital. It happened after we watched "A League of Their Own" at the Penn Cinemas. After the movie, we went to the Summit Dairy Queen where a little too much ice cream forced Anthony to do the Heimlech Manuever on himself.
